As of about a week ago there has not been any hearings scheduled on SB 238, the bill submitted by Matt Dolan to shorten the setbacks from the nearest adjacent property line to the nearest occupied dwelling. However, there has been efforts made to possibly include an amendment to that bill that may allow for some sort of vote. SAWU therefore urges readers to contact the Senators below and tell them you DO NOT support SB 238 and if any setback changes are considered then the effected Townships should get a vote!
Finally, Senator Dave Burke is listed as one of the four below. Senator Burke also is our Senator who oversees the District in Seneca County where Republic Wind is proposed. So make him a priority!
We will keep you posted of any new developments.

-The fourth, Senator Dave Burke, has not signed on as a co-sponsor of SB 238 but also has not articulated his support for local participation or property line setbacks (Senator Burke covers the area of Seneca County in the footprint of Republic Wind).
