***Action ALERT – Seneca East K-12 School Situation

After seeing the information on the proximity of a large number of 650 foot turbines to Seneca East school, and the new World Health Organization concerns about the sound levels that sPower says will be experienced at the school, several people have contacted us about what could be done. We have checked into the issue and learned that the school can intervene at the Ohio Power Siting Board against the project as currently proposed in an effort to get Continue reading SAWU News-Action Alert Seneca East Schools****Mike Kerschner re-elected In Seneca County, Ohio!**** and more……

Seneca County divide continues to grow as townships, commissioners mull wind intervention

At this point, it’s safe to say lots of Seneca County residents oppose potential incoming wind turbines. On Wednesday night, for a little over an hour, county commissioners listened to concerned citizens’ thoughts and opinions on the Seneca Wind Project. The meeting was organized by Commissioner Shayne Thomas. “Nothing is pre-scripted, so we’re coming in with open minds and open hearts, and hoping to understand what the townships’ position is and move on from there,” said Thomas.

Citizen Martis Draws Ire from Big Green (countering wind power shoestring by shoestring) – Master Resource

“Despite his folky style and positioning to the contrary, [Kevin] Martis is a highly polished, fossil fuel operative with aggressive tactics. The taxpayers of Seneca County and all of Ohio deserve a more honest broker than Kevon Martis.” – Scott Peterson, Checks and Balances Project, October 25, 2018. “When is an environmentalist not an environmentalist? …

Stilling: The curious case of land wind speed decline

All over the world, the wind is slowing. Bit by bit, low-level land wind speeds have been decreasing since reliable records began in the 1970s. It is called “the stilling”.

Key points:
Researchers eventually realised a decrease in pan evaporation rates was due to a decrease in wind speeds Continue reading Stilling: The curious case of land wind speed decline

Meetings with Manning & Jones…tell them what you think!

No automatic alt text available.

On Monday, October 29th at 6:30pm Representative Nathan Manning and maybe other local dignitaries will be coming to the Greenwich Community Center on Tilton St.

We need to pack out the building showing our support for Greenwich. We want to know where the candidates stand on wind turbine setbacks and let them know how they should vote if they get into office.

Also, on Tuesday October 3oth, from 8am-1pm Melissa James (democratic candidate for Huron County Commissioner) will be at Oma’s Belgian Waffles ready to chat about what you would like to see for Huron County.

Make it a point to stop in and let her know what you think about wind turbines in Greenwich. She knows that the Greenwich project had problems at first but thinks the money will be good for the county. We need to share our perspective with her so she can hear the full story.

Please attend both of these meetings right in our backyard this week!

Area News –  Apex Stomping Out and Stomping On

It is a great day in Van Wert County as the community celebrates the Apex Clean Energy decision to abandon the Long Prairie Wind project. Congratulations go out for the sustained efforts of warriors like Jeremy Kitson who fought against overwhelming odds, took an initially unpopular stand and educated his friends and neighbors. Congratulations go out also to County Commissioner Thad Lichtensteiger who weathered aggressive negative campaigning from “unknown” forces and won a huge victory last year. An educated community and the support of elected officials are powerful weapons against profiteers who seek to wreak havoc on unsuspecting rural communities. Ohio’s voice of reason, Bill Seitz,  fighting smear tactics from the left

Bill Seitz, champion of Ohio rural property owners

You or your constituents may have recently received the enclosed mailer from the “Economic Prosperity Project” urging that “Republican legislators need to STAND UP to Bill Seitz” because “He is using his influence to prevent $4.2 billion from being invested in Ohio wind energy.”

Is Renewable Energy a Fraud?

By Steve Gruber
Friday, 12 Oct 2018

Can it be that wind and solar energy is a complete fraud? In the book “Dumb Energy,” Norman Rogers makes a powerful and convincing case. His main point is that there must be backup generating plants because the delivery of electricity from wind or solar is erratic, depending on the surging or weakening of wind and sunlight. The backup plants supply kilowatt hours when the flow of green electricity falters. As a consequence one has to have two systems, Continue reading Is Renewable Energy a Fraud?

October 21, 2018

With a very open mind, we went to the meeting about wind farms on October 16, at Camden Falls. We wanted to find out the whole truth of their affect on all the lives in Seneca county. We’ve put a sign in our yard, and are writing this letter in hopes that many more people in the county will get the true facts, and make a decision based on the whole truth, not half truths. Sea of green at Farmersville wind turbine public hearing

Webmaster’s Note: This story is taking place in New York state. It is a scenario that is repeating itself all over the U.S. & worldwide. People everywhere have had enough of the misrepresentations & outright lies of the wind cartel. Wind does not, nor will it ever, hold up against genuine scrutiny of those who really want to know the truth!

FARMERSVILLE — There was a sea of green T-shirts on both sides at Thursday’s public hearing on the proposed new Farmersville Wind Turbine law.

Pointless Part-Time Power: Germany’s Readily Available Wind Power Capacity Less Than 1% of Total Installed Capacity

Webmaster’s Note: So this is worth tearing communities apart, perpetrate en masse killings of birds & bats, drive people from their homes, plunge property rights & values into the toilet…!? To all you  “sell out” politicians who abandoned their constituents in favor of wind lobbyist & developers…you chose badly! Read this story! Eventually this will become evident to all…even to you!

When it comes to actually delivering wind power, the real and the ideal are a gulf apart. In Australia, the average capacity factor (the ratio between actual output and nominal capacity) is …
